Today I am thankful that I grew up in a military town. I have been lucky to know a good number of military families and understand just how much of their lives they devote to serving our country. It’s not just one person, it’s their entire family. Military families are unique – they create extremely special bonds within their own families (because the move around so much) but also within the military community. They are there for each other in good times and bad and not in a way that any other job would provide. I am so thankful to all of my friends who serve, have served, had parents that served, grandparents that served – they all hold a special place in my heart. I hope they feel a little bit of extra love today, Veterans Day.
